R U R' U' is a common combination of right and top turns, but one application does not solve every white-corner case. This guide covers the verified example in Cube Room's “Insert a white corner” lesson. First identify where the corner is and which way its white sticker faces.
Prerequisites and orientation
The white cross is aligned and the other three white corners are solved. Hold white down, blue front and orange right. The white-blue-orange corner is at top-front-right with its white sticker facing right. Its destination is bottom-front-right, between the white, blue and orange centers.
In the workshop, an orange outline follows the target corner and a green outline marks the destination slot. Drag the view or use the face map to inspect the colors, then reset the teaching view before turning. If white faces up or front, this is not the same starting case.
Four turns in three small groups
R U R' U'The first R opens the right side and brings the bottom slot into the top layer. The middle U R' coordinates the top and right layers to insert the target corner into the bottom. The final U' restores the top. This grouping explains the current example; it does not promise a complete white face after each small group.
Pause the demonstration after individual turns. Ask where the whole corner is, and whether the move is carrying the target or restoring a working layer. Following the entire piece is more useful than watching only its white sticker.
Check five faces at the end
After the whole sequence, check that the bottom is white and all four bottom side rows match their centers. Looking at white alone can miss a corner placed in the wrong slot. Cube Room checks the actual stickers for both conditions before recording guided completion.
If the cross is temporarily disrupted after the first two moves, do not insert an extra “cross repair” turn. Confirm that you did not press the wrong button, then finish the group. An extra turn changes what the remaining moves do.
Try a different top-layer position
The workshop's new setup turns the top layer. Check whether the corner still matches the reference position, adjust the top to restore the example's setup, then apply the algorithm. You can undo a mistake; using a setup hint records an assisted result.
This exercise tests positioning for the same corner orientation. It does not cover every white-corner orientation, a corner trapped in the bottom, or every slot. Continue to right middle-edge insertion or review how to remember algorithms.
